Electrical Age to other energy exporter

The Electrical Age to other energy exporter can convert Electrical Age power into a number of other energy types from different mods, including RF, EU, and Open Computers Power. The power converters all have a GUI, which can be used to set the maximum amount of energy which can be converted by the block to the other energy type. Doing so will adjust the amount of power the converter will attempt to draw.

Currently only RF, EU, and OpenComputer's power units are compatible.


No, you can't convert other mods' power into electricity

Please note that you cannot convert these units back into Watts for use with Electrical Age, as that would allow the absurd storage (and sometimes generation) of the other power systems to unbalance the mod. It would also allow people to abuse the converters to transform power from one mod to another without properly engaging in the electrical mechanics.

You are welcome to use the other mods fuels to power the generators, and steam is always welcome in the steam turbine.

Variants

Converters are available in 50V, 200V, and 800V variants.

  • 50V can handle up to 4kW (300RF/t)
  • 200V can handle 8kW (600RF/t)
  • 800V can handle 20kW (1500RF/t)

Conversions

  • 1 RF/t = 13.33W
  • 1 EU/t = 33.33W
  • 1 OC/t = 1.33W

Another way of representing this is

  • 1W = 0.075 RF/t
  • 1W = 0.030 EU/t
  • 1W = 0.752 OC/t

Or for a more proper conversion

  • 1W = 1.5 RF/s
  • 1W = 0.6 EU/s
  • 1W = 15.04 OC/s

These values can be changed in the config. This is highly recommended if the current values are underpowered compared to other power generation in your modpack.

Fun Fact

Nominally, the largest amount of ELN power that can be converted from a powerline is 8,000RF/t. It will take 12 800V converters at max power, 4 poles all delivering VHV and a VERY good power supply capable of handling the 60,000W load.
