Electrical Age to other energy exporter
Block type: Single
Powered by: Varied Voltages
Requirements for operation: Connected to ELN on one side and converted to the opposite.
Stackable: Yes (64)

The Electrical Age to other energy exporter can convert Electrical Age power into a number of other energy types from different mods, including RF, EU, and Open Computers Power. The power converters all have a GUI, which can be used to set the maximum amount of energy which can be converted by the block to the other energy type. Doing so will adjust the amount of power the converter will attempt to draw.

Currently only RF, EU, and OpenComputer's power units are compatible.

Please note that you cannot convert these units back into Watts for use with Electrical Age, as that would allow the absurd storage (and sometimes generation) of the other power systems to unbalance the mod.

Variants

Converters are available in 50V, 200V, and 800V variants.

  • 50V can handle 1000 watts
  • 200V can handle 2000 watts
  • 800V can handle 5000 watts

Conversions

  • 1 RF/t = 13.33W
  • 1 EU/t = 33.33W
  • 1 OC/t = 1.33W

Another way of representing this is

  • 1W = 0.075 RF/t
  • 1W = 0.030 EU/t
  • 1W = 0.752 OC/t

Or for a more proper conversion

  • 1W = 1.5 RF/s
  • 1W = 0.6 EU/s
  • 1W = 15.04 OC/s

These values can be changed in the config. This is highly recommended if the current values are underpowered compared to other power generation in your modpack.

Comparisons to Other Generation Methods

  • Buildcraft Stirling Engine: 10 RF/t = 133W
  • Railcraft Hobbyist Steam Engine: 16 RF/t = 213W
  • Railcraft Commercial Steam Engine: 40 RF/t = 533W
  • Buildcraft Combustion Engine: 60 RF/t = 800W
  • Thermal Expansion Dynamo T0: 60 RF/t = 800W
  • Railcraft Industrial Steam Engine: 80 RF/t = 1,066W
  • Thermal Expansion Dynamo T1: 120 RF/t = 1,600W
  • Thermal Expansion Dynamo T2: 240 RF/t = 3,200W
  • Thermal Expansion Dynamo T3: 480 RF/t = 6,400W
  • IC2 Solar Panel: 1 EU/t = 33W
  • IC2 Generator: 10 EU/t = 333W
  • IC2 Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator: 32 EU/t = 1,066W
  • IC2 Small Passive Nuclear Reactor: 120 EU/t = 4,000W
  • Railcraft Steam Turbine: 200 EU/t = 6,660W
  • IC2 Full Passive Nuclear Reactor: 420 EU/t = 14,000W

It's worth looking at your current power generation capabilities to see if it's worth exporting your ELN power over simply using the mod's native generation methods.

Maximum Conversion Values

  • 50V - 75RF/t - 30EU/t - 752OC/t
  • 200V - 150RF/t - 60EU/t - 1503OC/t
  • 800V - 375RF/t - 150EU/t - 3759OC/t

Fun Fact

Nominally, the largest amount of ELN power that can be converted from a powerline is 8,000RF/t. It will take 12 800V converters at max power, 4 poles all delivering VHV and a VERY good power supply capable of handling the 60,000W load.

A design which allows for the maximum conversion

No, you can't convert other mods power into electricity

Nice try though.
