Solar panels convert sunlight to electricity.

An actual line-of-sight to the sun is calculated, so if you put the panels behind a wall, they won't produce as much power for part of the day.

A rotating solar panel produce X watts at 12.5V, with reduced efficiency at higher/lower voltages
